If you put BS mode, it just gives you the choice to select different scene modes. For example, if you are shooting fireworks at night, you should use lights Fireworks theater, etc. As for eBay, is just an additional feature where you can use to draw the items you want to sell on eBay. It's really not much. I sold something on eBay and never had to use this feature. I use the macro approach to give a detailed picture of what I sell.
