What is contrast ratio important in an LCD monitor?
Looking to buy an LCD monitor and I found a variety of reports contrast and sellers are trying to boast about them. I have seen 800:1 to 10000:1. Which is better? What I look for in an LCD monitor?
Monitors LCD uses a backlight to illuminate the sample image. Therefore, the color black when displayed on a monitor LCD seems grayer. Plus the screen contrast, color black will be less gray. This is important, some people (especially those who enjoy watching movies on DVD or Blu Ray or making artwork graphic). It'sa matter of personal preference.
